Amboseli
Elephant country on the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Amboseli is known for large elephant families on an open plain. The mountain sits behind the park. Cloud often covers it, so a clear view is common and not constant.
A focused Amboseli trip from Nairobi is usually two nights. On the classic circuit it is the first park, before Lake Nakuru and the Mara.
